Interior design
The interior design of the new Y8 sailing yacht adopts a refined and minimalistic approach, seamlessly blending functionality with aesthetics. It features a warm color palette of beige and rich brown wood tones, creating a cozy and elegant atmosphere perfect for relaxation and performance on the water. The flooring connects the interior and exterior spaces, while the innovative flat superstructure includes narrow windows that allow natural light to flood in, enhancing the feeling of openness. Moreover, the careful spatial organization provides smart storage solutions, ensuring a clean, uncluttered space that still accommodates personal touches.
For the Y8 yacht, it was an interesting challenge to embrace minimalism. I concentrated on how much I could remove while maximizing storage in cupboards and drawers. This approach ensured functionality while allowing the owners to personalize their space.

The focus on comfort and ergonomics is evident throughout, as each element is thoughtfully curated to evoke a sense of well-being and connection to the surroundings. The lightweight carbon fiber structure, engineered for optimum sailing performance, underscores the yacht’s racing capabilities, making it perfect for regattas.
