Penumbra

Penumbra was designed with Georg Jensen as a centrepiece rooted in the house’s silver heritage. The design brings together two references from the Georg Jensen archive, the oval forms of early twentieth century hollowware and the stricter functionalist geometry of Sigvard Bernadotte. The original sterling silver version is handmade in Copenhagen with more than 3000 hammer marks. A later polished stainless steel edition carries the same outline into a more accessible object for the table.
