Globus Department Store
Zürich, Switzerland
Interior architecture
This interior architecture project focuses on the comprehensive redesign of the Zurich department store Globus, harmonizing its renewed layout with the building’s brutalist exterior. The design concept emphasizes a thoughtful program that guides customers through five-floors, creating an engaging and welcoming shopping experience.
Each level is meticulously designed to analyze movement and flow, ensuring functionality while enhancing the shopper’s journey. The material palette combines local natural elements like wood and stone with sleek steel accents, promoting a serene atmosphere reminiscent of Zurich’s landscape. Custom storage units throughout the store reflect this calm, bright experience, reinforcing a deep sense of locality and connection to the building’s architectural roots.
