J.Lindeberg Store
Stockholm, Sweden
Interior architecture
The flagship store for J. Lindeberg in Stockholm embodies the Swedish brand’s sporting fashion legacy and its innovative outlook. Establishing a distinctive design language, the interior architecture harmoniously integrates the brand’s logo, reminiscent of a bridge, with nods to Op art and the vibrant sporting aesthetics of the 1970s. The space utilizes a neutral palette of concrete and platane wood, creating a sophisticated yet athletic atmosphere that showcases the full spectrum of J. Lindeberg, from high-end fashion to ski and golf wear.
Occasional bursts of pale yellow, the brand’s signature color, punctuate the design. The fluid combination of curves and geometric lines, complemented by a mix of robust finishes and softer textures, resonates with the brand’s dynamic identity. More than just a retail space, the design offers flexibility as a gallery-like venue for events, encouraging engagement and innovation in line with J. Lindeberg’s vision. This architectural approach not only reflects the brand’s heritage and trajectory but also aims to foster emotional connections through its thoughtful materiality and repetitive themes. The design ultimately strikes a balance between cosmopolitan luxury and the nostalgic flair of Scandinavian influences.
