Transformation of landmark building
We are pleased to announce our collaboration with Karberghus on the design of a new wine bar located within LangeLinieskuret, a protected historic building at the Copenhagen harbor front, built in 1902 and originally serving as a customs facility. This partnership highlights Karberghus’s commitment to preserving historic structures while enhancing local identity. The project aims for a thoughtful transformation that honors the building’s rich history and legacy, creating a vibrant social space that serves the community. The design will incorporate a beautiful material palette of warm Swedish Ølandstone, complementing the heritage of the structure. Additionally, expansive views of the ocean will enrich the atmosphere, allowing guests to connect with both the local landscape and the site’s remarkable history, further contributing to Copenhagen’s cultural tapestry.
