Mark Tan Store
Copenhagen, Denmark
Interior architecture
The flagship boutique for the Danish fashion brand Mark Tan blends minimalist elegance with architectural finesse, creating an ideal setting to showcase refined, feminine silhouettes. Retaining the charm of an early 20th-century space, the design incorporates architectural elements, including rectangular panels with granular textures that elegantly frame clothing displays, allowing the collection to shine. A prominent feature is the wall of 100 large tourmaline-blue glass bricks, introducing natural light and making a bold visual statement.
Emphasizing a thoughtful material palette, the boutique showcases freestanding metal racks and a large display table crafted from birds-eye birch veneer, designed to highlight accessories. Additionally, a soft boucle-covered daybed enhances the warm, inviting atmosphere, encouraging customers to feel at home. This careful balance of modern aesthetics and unpretentious design creates a welcoming shopping experience, perfectly aligning with the designer’s vision for a cohesive yet stylish retail environment.
