Loft Guest House
Copenhagen, Denmark

Interior Architecture

Located in the vibrant Islands Brygge area of Copenhagen, a historic printing factory from 1910 has been repurposed into a multi-functional guesthouse owned by Vipp, a distinguished Danish design firm founded in 1939. The renovation of this building not only respects its rich history but also bridges the past and present through a design that thoughtfully incorporates local materials and timeless aesthetics. Key architectural features include the preservation of original oak rafters and high ceilings, complemented by a sleek mezzanine that improves visual connectivity within the space. This design approach creates a harmonious environment that highlights the tactile quality of the materials used, embodying both functionality and elegance.
