Ikoyi Restaurant is set inside the Brutalist building at 180 The Strand in London. The work responds to the strength of the architecture and to Ikoyi’s highly personal cooking, where British micro seasonality, heat and spice are brought together with precision.
The interior is built around intensity and warmth. Oxidised copper, honed Gris Catalan limestone, stainless steel mesh, natural leather and oak create a material language that feels strong, tactile and direct. At the entrance, a copper clad reception and illuminated refrigerators introduce the working rhythm of the restaurant before guests move into the dining room.
Hard and soft materials are held in close balance. Stone, metal, leather and timber create a room that feels grounded and intimate, giving Ikoyi a setting where food, service, material and London’s cultural energy can meet without distraction.
