Interior Architecture and transformation

2017

Vipp Loft Guesthouse is set on the upper floor of a former printing factory from 1910 in Islands Brygge, Copenhagen. Created for the Danish design company Vipp, the renovation turns the loft into a home environment where guests can live with the brand’s products in a natural domestic setting.

The generous roof volume was opened and reorganised around a central axis, with original oak rafters, sloped ceilings and a new mezzanine level giving the space its structure. A darker entrance leads into a bright open living area with kitchen, dining, sitting room and balcony views towards the harbour.
